SURVEY REVEALS BEST TRAITS FOR TENTMAKERS

Here's a great little study reported by Tim Parker tparker@teamexpansion.org, the Tentmaking Coordinator for Team Expansion. According to Tim, Don Hamilton (of TMQ Research) recently completed a survey among some 800 people who are serving or have served overseas in a tentmaking capacity. The study revealed that the most effective tentmakers...

For further information on the survey, or for a copy of the full report ($10), Tim said we could write directly to Don Hamilton, TMQ Research, 312 Melcanyon Road, Duarte, CA 91010, (626) 359-4048. (No email given.) Tim cited the info. with permission from the Canadian Tentmaker Network/Southern Ontario Tentmaker Seminar Workbook). Thanks Tim!

Mission Finder Web Site

http://www.mfinder.org
If you haven't found your way to the Mission Finders web site yet then you need to check it out (see above). Brigada Today recently profiled two major directories of mission opportunities (one a listing of YWAM short- term outreaches and the other a listing of opportunities available in Christian orphanages). Both of these are to be found on the Mission Finder web site. In addition to this the site contains opportunities for tentmakers, information on mission training and short term opportunities as well as major section on mission resources (travel, insurance, FAQs about missions, links to other mission job lists etc.). This one certainly merits a bookmark and regular visits.

Tentmakernet.com

You might not have heard of my latest project which is at www.tentmakernet.com

We are mobilizing Europeans to train and send out tentmakers. Tentmakernet will provide ongoing communication between national reps and provide them with the needed training materials.

Tentmakernet works with the blessing of existing agencies and organizations like TIE, Intent and GlobalOpportunities and others. We are not a competing but rather a complementing virtual network of enablers.

As you can see, Finland and just yesterday, Norway are leading the way. The rest should be onboard within the next few years.

Blessings,

AJ Rocklin
