'Yes, I Believe in God' theme song 'Yes, I Believe In God' Song Released; Boosts 'Yes' Campaign -- Equipping Students Nationwide Click on our sponsors! Updated 5:20 AM ET October 22, 1999 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The Center for Reclaiming America announces the release of the 'Yes, I Believe in God' theme song, set to debut on October 22, 1999 for its nationwide 'Yes, I Believe in God' campaign. The song is recorded by contemporary Christian artist Rebecca St. James, national spokesperson for the campaign. The "Yes" campaign and song were inspired when Janet Folger, Director of the Center For Reclaiming America met with Columbine High School students who experienced first hand the tragic results of taking God out of the classroom. The Campaign centers around a "Yes, I Believe in God" kit which offers how-to materials that empower students to share their faith.
"Students don't surrender their First Amendment rights to share their faith when they walk through the door of the public school," said Folger. The kit includes a T-shirt with a list of student freedoms such as the freedom to bring your Bible to school, to share your faith and wear religious T-shirts, symbols and buttons. Also in the kit: a New Testament, Ten Commandment book covers, a resource guide and a 'Yes, I Believe in God' bracelet. "Students can have God and the Ten Commandments back into the classroom, and there's nothing the ACLU can do about it," said Folger. "Finally, there's an effective solution to the outbreak of school violence."
