This directory includes resources (tracts, books, videos, etc...) for Prisoners.
This ministry has a lot of good books and tracts for outreach to prisoners. It has a lot of good testimony books of prisoners who were saved. This ministry sets up book racks in many prisons.
This ministry has doctrinal tracts and booklets for outreach to prisoners. Rock of Ages has Prison Bible Institute. It costs the ministry $50 for each prisoner who takes the courses in the Prison Bible Institute. The ministry states that 74% of all prisoners who are released from prison return to prison, but it is only 10% who get saved and enroll in some type of Bible study. One of their tracts is called "Officer in Charge" which is for prison officials.
Publishing Department
God is raising up the equipment and personnel to print millions of pieces of literature each year for the prison ministry. Housed in a modern 6,000 sq. ft. building, located at 2022 Washington Ave., the Publishing Dept. provides a vital service for our missionaries. Gospel tracts, study booklets and correspondence courses are printed daily. The need is great for paper and materials. We are asking the Lord to raise up additional monthly support for this area of ministry.
You can also help by donating your labor. Throughout the year, groups and individuals come to help us put together the booklets that reach thousands of inmates behind bars. Would you prayerfully consider how the Lord would have you help? If you are interested in helping or would like more information, please contact Bro. Allen Montgomery at 423-476-9235.
The Publishing Department is often unnoticed, but remains the key to getting the Gospel, in printed form, behind the walls of prisons in America and foreign countries.
Prisoner's Bible Institute
The Prisoner's Bible Institute will function in at least two ways. First, through our Rock of Ages missionary chaplains, who will teach the Bible Institute in a classroom setting. This will allow our chaplains to involve local pastors and qualified lay people who have a burden to help with the Rock of Ages Prisoner's Bible Institute. Secondly, Bible correspondence courses can be offered to each inmate. The "PBI" will be promoted by the revival teams and missionary chaplains. The correspondence and classroom divisions will be independent of each other in format, presentation, grading and testing methods. However, the content and subject matter will be compatible.
Charles Long is Director of PBI. The "PBI" is developing Bible study courses in which the inmates will use the King James Bible as the textbook. For a mere $50.00, you can place a Bible and the required study courses in the hands of an inmate, for one full year.

Sharing Christ through the FREE distribution of Christian videos to prisons, jails & reformatories.
We are a nonprofit, nondenominational, evangelical Christian ministry directed by Paul S. Taylor. Our ministry is designed to help chaplains, prison ministries and wardens evangelize and disciple prisoners through showings of carefully chosen, high-quality Christian videos (mainly in English and Spanish). Our mission is to provide assistance to financially needy prison chaplains who need to use these important materials but lack funds. For those who can afford to pay something, we offer special prison discounts. For those who have no money to work with, we provide videos for free (as the Lord supplies funds). Over 900 correctional institutions in all 50 states (U.S.) are now actively using the Christian video libraries we have donated to them, free of charge.
[See our aid application form]
The result has been thousands of decisions for Christ. Chaplains show these
videos in chapel meetings, study groups, audiovisual rooms, chapel lending
libraries, or telecast them on the institution's closed TV system.
What's NEW?
913+ chaplains have now been helped.
Our June 2000 shipment provided over 1670 videos and thousands of gospel
tracts free of charge to prison chaplains and ministries.
Over $20,000 in free videos were supplied to chaplains in December 1999.
New videos added to free list.
Staff members Star Taylor and Pam Humphries stand with volunteers who've just finished packaging videos worth over $35-thousand. All were donated to prison chaplains in need throughout America. Our last shipment (June 6, 2000) provided free, high-quality Christian video libraries to 201 prison chaplains and ministries. Make your needs known! Together, we can win far more men, women, boys and girls to Christ!
If you are a prison chaplain, get started now!...
Christian videos - A key element for winning prisoners to Jesus Christ.
The number of people incarcerated in the U.S. is breaking all records. America now has more prisoners than any other nations (with the possible exception of Russia). These souls are born of the media generation, visually-oriented and highly motivated by movies and TV. Movies can speak to hearts through drama, music and expertly presented information like almost nothing else can. With illiteracy rates often high, videos are more effective than written materials. With prison populations soaring, videos can help chaplains make the most effective use of their time. Use videos to plow the field and plant the seeds, building a fertile foundation for personal evangelism and discipeship efforts. In these days, high quality Christian videos are a must for effective prison ministry. Our God-given mission is to help!
Other resources we provide for chaplains...
Our on-line Bible has been greatly expanded, providing more resources, access to thorough searches of numerous translations, Greek & Hebrew tools, audio readings, Bible in multiple languages, and more. Go... Use our effective presentations of the Gospel. Find answers to prisoners' questions about God and the Bible.
Source of Light has correspondence courses in many languages. They are well written and widely used. Ask for their catalog or see their web site. Correspondence courses are an excellent outreach ministry to prisoners. Source of Light will send out correspondence courses for free to prisoners. Please contact the ministry and ask for the closest missionary who will send out courses and grade them for free.
If you would like information on the prices or availability of the courses, or on offices in foreign countries, please contact Charles Fizer at cfizer@emmaus1.edu
Emmaus' courses are more in depth than Source of Lights' courses. Emmaus has courses in many languages. Ask for their catalog. Correspondence courses are an excellent outreach ministry to prisoners.

My autobiography, "I'm Gonn'a Bury You!" is a current international bestseller, in five languages, and my little illustrated ("comic-book-style") tracts are in many languages, and just now going into Arabic. Our tracts are free to anyone. Anytime. And at least one of my books is free to anybody, anywhere. And we sell all of my books and tracts and cassettes and videos to prison ministries for only our costs.
