"Like many Win95 users I like using different desktop themes to vary the look of my computer from time to time however looking around the Internet at the various theme collection sites I was a bit disappointed to find hardly any Christian ones - so I decided to make my own and now I've put them here for the rest of you. The good news is that now mine are not the only ones out there as people have written to tell me how they have been inspired to produce their own - keep it up and let's all make our desktops speak of Jesus. "

Hesed Interactive

Juli Of Mali Screen Saver
http://www.hesed.com/jula.htm
I received an interesting letter during the week from Frank Johnson of Hesed Interactive in California. His firm has embarked on a project to provide computer screen savers for each of the unreached people groups on the Joshua Project list (a big vision!). A prototype of the first of these screen savers can be downloaded from the web (see above). It provides prayer points for the Jula of Mali. You can get it with or without accompanying music. Once the screen savers are up and running mission agencies will be able to provide prayer updates that can also be downloaded from the web. It sounds like a great idea. I now have a version of the Jula prototype on my machine. Check it out and send messages of support to Frank Johnson <FrankJ@hesed.com>.

Pastor Dbase

Free software helps churches manage children's programs. PastorDbase, free to download, helps churches manage their children's programs. The database, designed by a youth pastor who is also a software consultant, is designed "to keep track of children, programs, helpers/staff, suppliers and the registration process for multiple programs." Both the software and the instruction manual are available for free download at the Web site below.

Pastor Klueg's "Free For All" Web site

http://www.klink.net/~rcklueg/index.html features fonts, computer games, graphics programs and other computer programs -- all free for the downloading. His site also offers surfers his writings on a variety of topics, and the best free gift of all: salvation through Jesus Christ. His site features a broad array of fun, personal links and interactions, too. If you go through the little personalization exercise on the site, you'll get a quick auto-response full of wit and wisdom.

"I have had many opportunities to share Christ through this page over the last few years," Pastor Klueg writes. "I receive a small but steady flow of e-mails, often from other countries, and often with deep, heartfelt questions. Most only write once, but with some I have had extended correspondence. So, I thank the Lord for the opportunity to share Christ in this way, and pray for continued fruit."

Free For All is a site worth visiting in your cyber journeys. And for sharing the free gift of Jesus Christ in a creative and strategic way with the online world, Free For All is our E-vangelism Site of the Week for the week of August 21, 2000.

School of Ministry

Free Cd For Third World Pastors

Pastor Richard Lee in UK teaches the interdenominational School of Ministry. This is a 2-year-long part- time course on Biblical Studies, Theology, Church History and many other related topics. Subjects on which Christians may have different views are treated sensitively without dogmatism. Much of the material is online at: htto://scm.schoolofministry.org . Most of the course lectures (plus many other relevant documents) are available on a CD. Richard would like to offer it free to Third World pastors and missionaries who have access to a computer with CDRom drive, but only have limited, expensive, or non-existent access to the Internet. Over 60 copies of the CD have already been sent out to many countries. To apply, email Richard at <Richard@schoolofministry.org>. Remember, if you have good Internet access, then please make use of the resource via the website instead. The offer of the CD is only for those who really really need it - please don't abuse the offer. This part-time School of Ministry has limited resources.

Tracking / Contact Management For Missionaries

QUESTION
What tracking software are other Mission Organizations using to track potential recruits interested in missionary careers? ...track work teams? ...track missionary human resource data (i.e. college they graduated from, blood type, etc.)? ...track short term missionaries? ANSWER
TntMPD is a program for managing your relationships with your ministry partners. It is written specifically for missionaries who raise their own support. My vision for developing TntMPD is to give you, a fellow missionary, more time to reach your world for Christ. TntMPD is written by Troy Wolbrink, a missionary programmer with Campus Crusade. It is available for free at http://home.ccci.org/wolbrink/tntmpd/
